1. Be Specific
“having the perfect body” sounds great, but it is just a dream, not a goal.
If you will set a goal that is bigger than you can achieve, trying to get it right away, you will lose motication very fast and will be disappointed of yourself. Never dream too small beacuse you think you can’t, but be specific on your goals. For example, lose three kilos or get a better grade in math than your last one.
2. Break It Into Smaller Habits
This is the magic in achieving your goals. When you do something for 21 days, it will become a habit. If you try having everything at ones, you will get nothing. It is very hard to try do everything right when you start. It is better for you to do it slowly and reach your goals then doing everything very fast and lose motivation. Start smart, not hard. Drawing twice a week for 30 minutes is a better way to start than thinking on your ideal art.
Deadlines are very important. When you know when something have to be done, it is easier to track your progress and be more dedicated to your goals. For example, three monthes from now you want to lose those three kilos.
4. This Is For You
You don’t do this for your parents that want you to have the perfect grades, or for a person who think you are fat. Never do something you don’t want to do or doing just becase you want others to think of you good things. Think of the ideal situation, when you will achieve what you want – are you happy then because others see you now in a better light or because you are more confident for yourself?
You don’t have to be something you don’t want to be for those toxic people in your lofe, doing things you don’t like without feeling like you are becoming a better version of yourself.
5. Start Now
Don’t wait for the right time. “I’ll start tomorrow” is the worst way of living, because you will never achieve anything if you will never start. Tomorrow is a great day to be the second one, not the first. The right time is now.
